A BACP Registered Integrative Psychotherapist, Angie has spent twenty years in Secondary Education teaching in the UK, Shanghai, Dubai and Hong Kong. She began training in Counselling and Psychotherapy after experiencing understanding, empathy and processing through her own personal therapy.

Angie is trained in Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existentialist, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Attachment and CBT modes of therapy.  She has a private practice and works for a number of outside agencies, including EAP Provision, working with children and young people and supporting adults suffering Critical Incident Trauma. Angie has recently been a tutor on a CPCAB Level 4 Counselling Diploma at the commended NCCS Counselling Training Institute in Northamptonshire.

Angie offers a non-judgemental, calming and empathic space for anyone in need of support. Living in an increasingly difficult and stressful world can feel overwhelming at times. She hopes to provide a safe space for an individual to be themselves and feel able to explore what it is that distresses them and what they might need to feel better.

Interest/Specialties:

Angie’s particular interests include working with Trauma, Generational Trauma, Systemic Family Trauma, Attachment and Addiction. In addition, she has a keen interest in Neuroscience and its impact on therapy, EMDR therapy and various alternative therapy methods. She is presently researching a thesis on spiritual abuse and subjugation within families.

Angie regularly incorporates the healing power of nature with her clients and long-term would like to provide somewhere peaceful, quiet and preferably wild(!) outside for her clients to heal and grow. She uses creative writing and music as forms of expression and connecting with feelings in the therapy room. Angie works with neuro-diverse clients and enjoys exploring how therapy can holistically provide a safe space for all.

I feel excited by RTN’s ethos of using nature and ecotherapy as a tool for discovery and healing. My own experience has taught me how powerful this can be and I enjoy collaborating with like-minded, open-minded colleagues.
