Dr Jessica Parmar

I am a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist qualifying in 2016 and have 10 years’ experience working in mental health and residential care services predominately with children and young people. I have experience with a wide range of mental health presentations and working with those who have experienced severe trauma and attachment difficulties. I have previously worked in Specialist Tier 4 CAMHs services developing therapeutic group programmes for the ward based on DBT informed skills.
I am currently pursuing my interests in neurodiversity, and I am trained using the ASOS-2 supporting a multi-disciplinary approach towards diagnosis. I support specialist children’s residential care homes via a consultation model to support staff teams in understanding and therapeutically informing of the complex issues around neurodiversity, learning disabilities and developmental trauma.
