Before training and qualifying as an NCS accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor, Louise Herbert worked in the corporate sector and the NHS.

Louise now has a private practice and is registered with the UKCP to work with adults (18+).  Her training in Transactional Analysis is a widely recognised psychological therapy.

During the pandemic, Louise also worked for the NHS, offering counselling support for both staff and patients at a local GP hub.

Louise feels passionate that therapy is not just for those times where we feel we are in crisis. It can also be helpful for those times when we feel that our usual coping strategies are no longer helping, which can lead to feeling stressed or anxious.

Having someone to talk to at these times and exploring your lived experiences from an alternative perspective can help anchor or pinpoint those thoughts, feelings, or behaviours you feel are limiting how you want to live your life. This can perhaps lead to new choices or decisions which can lead to a more fulfilling and happier way of living.

I was drawn to working RTN due to it being run by therapists who understand both the value and ethos of ethical therapy. I am pleased to be a part of an innovative team that value compassion and approachability as part of their mission statement.
